Permitted Development Rights. House extension including roof extension.

Permitted Development

Using specific government legislation, the use of Permitted Development Rights is a simple and effective way to extend your home, erect a new agricultural building, or change the use of a building (such as from an agricultural building to a house, or office space to residential use), all without requiring planning permission.

Wilbury Planning will advice whether Permitted Development Rights can be used for your specific benefit. We will prepare and secure the correct consents from the local planning authority on your behalf.

Permitted Development Rights can also be used for what is known as a “fallback” position to justify an often more complex or contentious form of development.
